Just returned from a trip over to the Wicked Café; to see an exhibition of photos by Kris Krug. It was good to finally meet Kris after talking online for the last year. The photo's themselves were very interesting with, for Kris's benefit, the middle three working best. The Exhibition was end in a series of emerging Vancouver photographers and also introduced me to VanDigiCam. Jess particularly liked the self portrait. The Café was cool, with the barista managing to sell me a half pound of organic coffee at the end of the evening. Also great to hook up with Roland Tanglao – thanks for the lift home – something I hope will happen on a regular basis.
Jess and I decided to walk to the Café; which was a fine idea, but it did take longer than expected. We followed Richards down to the water and then realised the bridge we needed was about 20 stories above us! A track back to Granville took us through some grubby parts of the city before we got to the bridge. I would not fancy the walk on a wet and windy day, that bridge is way too high for that!
